Class guidelines

  • No snacks during class, please.

We encourage you to have a bite just before or just after class, but food must be put away for class time. If there's no way around it, please step outside of the room and rejoin us afterward so we can keep our play spaces clean for everyone.

  • No outside toys, please.

We'll provide all different kinds of things to play with throughout the class that are designed to be shared - but one toy brought from home will inevitably outshine all of them. Personal toys are best kept out of sight until after class.

  • No phone calls during class, please.

We know some calls just can't be ignored; in those cases please step out of earshot to finish the call.

  • No throwing or hitting others with class supplies.

When you're two, throwing things just seems like a fun and cool thing to do! Unfortunately, our wooden and plastic instruments are safety hazards when airborne, so we've got to nip it in the bud.

  • DO bring your enthusiasm and your singing voice!

Little Bandits is not just a performance for kids, but an interactive experience for adults and children. We'll lead the group in songs, games, and large and small movements, and we invite everybody to follow along. When everybody is participating together, the real magic of Little Bandits can begin.

Photo and video

We will occasionally take photos or videos during class to use on our website, social media, or printed promotional materials. These photos / videos will be used exclusively for advertising our classes, and will never be sold for profit.

When possible, we will solicit verbal permission from you before using any photo / video of you, your child, or the child's caregiver in Little Bandits promotions. If you do not wish for us to use any photos / videos of you or your family, please contact us and we will be sure to respect your privacy.

We also invite everybody who attends class to share their photos / videos on social media! Tag us with @littlebanditsmusic or #littlebanditsmusic. If your post includes other children or families, ask for their permission before posting!

Drop-ins

Families are welcome to attend drop-in classes whether or not they've registered online; just be sure to have payment prepared when you attend the class.

However, if you sign up through our website, we can include you in important class communications, like schedule changes or weather cancellations.

Class consolidations and divisions

We want everybody in our classes to have the full Little Bandits experience. For that reason, if a class has low enrollment, we may choose to cancel that class and help place those families in other, more populated classes. We try to do this as rarely as possible. Classes may be consolidated in this fashion at any point between when registration opens, up to and including the first week of classes.

If you are enrolled in a class that becomes consolidated, we'll help place you in another class that suits your schedule, commute, as well as your child's age and personality. In addition, we'll offer you an additional makeup at a class of your choosing as thanks for your flexibility.

Additionally, some classes grow beyond our venue capacity, and we may choose to add a second class mid-session. For example, if an all-ages 10:30 AM class expands beyond capacity, we may split it into a 10:00 AM class for 18 months - 3 years, and an 11:00 class for 6 months - 2 years. We'll always keep in communication with families involved to make sure any schedule changes are not disruptive.

Absences

We understand that scheduling with a toddler is unpredictable. If you are ever unable to make it to class, do not fret. You'll be able to make up that absence at any other Little Bandits class within the same session. You do not need to notify us in advance of your make-up class, however, if you email us in advance, we can include you in important class communications, like schedule changes or cancellations.

If you do not attend a makeup before the end of the session, you may carry over one makeup into the following session.

Cancellations

We don't anticipate ever having to cancel classes (except for weather cancellations for outdoor classes, which are covered below). That said, we're just a two-person team, so an emergency situation may force us to do so.

In that case, we will notify families via email and, if possible, text message. Families will then be invited to attend any other class as a makeup.

Weather cancellations (outdoor-only)

We've picked our outdoor class locations carefully to be well-protected under big trees, so class may continue even in a light drizzle. We do not have backup locations for outdoor classes, so if bad weather ever precludes holding class outside, we will cancel class.

If an outdoor class is cancelled due to weather, we will send an announcement to the primary email address on file for each child. Time permitting, we will also attempt to notify everyone via secondary email addresses and/or phone numbers. If you're not sure what the status of class is, our twitter feed will always have up-to-date news on weather cancellations, which can be found on our home page.

If a class you have purchased is cancelled due to bad weather, you will be eligible to make up that class at any other time or location, without expiration.

Makeups

You do not need to notify us in advance of your make-up class, however, if you email us in advance, we can include you in important class communications, like schedule changes or weather cancellations.

Refunds

If you have signed up for a drop-in class and are unable to attend, you may be issued a refund if it is requested at least 48 hours before your scheduled class.

If you have signed up for a full session and are unable to attend the entire session, you may be issued a refund if it is requested at least 48 hours before the first scheduled class.

Outdoor classes cancelled due to weather are not eligible for a refund; we welcome families to attend any other Little Bandits class as a makeup free of charge.

All other cancelled classes (emergency cancellations, class consolidations, etc.) may be eligible for a refund if you are unable to attend a makeup.

Gift Cards

We now offer gift cards, so you can easily give the gift of Little Bandits classes to friends and family!

Here's how Little Bandits gift cards work:

1. Choose the gift card size you'd like to purchase. We offer four different gift cards, conveniently matched with the prices of our Class Packs. A $25 card can be redeemed for a single drop-in class. A $70 card can be redeemed for a Three-Class Pack. A $115 card can be redeemed for a Five-Class Pack. A $225 card can be redeemed for a 10-Class Pack.

Gift cards are redeemable for any Little Bandits purchase -- so recipients may also use their gift card towards the purchase of drop-in classes or sessions.

2. Choose whether you'd like to receive the gift card as an eGift Card via email, or as a physical gift card.

For both options, please allow 5-7 business days for delivery. (eGift Cards will likely arrive much sooner than that, but we manually generate gift card codes and send the emails, so it is not an automatic process!)

Physical gift cards can be delivered by mail to you or the intended recipient, or, if you are a current attendee of Little Bandits, we can bring it to a class of your choosing. Physical gift cards incur an additional fee of $5.

3. Gift cards expire 365 days from the date of purchase. If a gift card is used to purchase a Class Pack, that Class Pack is subject to a separate expiration period of 120 days from date of purchase.

4. Purchases of gift cards and all purchases made using gift cards are final.

5. If you have any additional questions, or would like to make a special arrangement, don't hesitate to reach out to us at info@littlebanditsmusic.com.
